A Career Built in Selfless Service, Professionalism, and Character

I entered public service at 17 as an Army combat medic. That beginning developed into a career spanning county 911 EMS, fire-rescue, rotor-wing flight, critical-care transport, tactical and diplomatic-security medicine, disaster response, education, and rural independent ALS practice.

The settings changed; from American communities to overseas operations, but the responsibility remained the same: assess honestly, prepare for deterioration, communicate clearly, and care for people with dignity when the stakes are high.

My leadership style is calm, respectful, practical, humble, and team-centered. As a lead medic, PIC, field training officer, preceptor, instructor, mentor, and medical-team leader, I have learned to set expectations clearly, prepare thoroughly, and make defensible decisions when circumstances are incomplete or changing.

I have coordinated with EMT partners, transport crews, firefighters, law enforcement, physicians, nurses, flight teams, and receiving hospitals. The objective is based in safe operations, a supported team, and the best achievable outcome for the patient.
